Denpasar Inclusive Marathon January 29, 2017 The inaugural Denpasar Inclusive Marathon will be held on Sunday, January 29,2017. Personally supported by the Mayor of Denpasar Ida Bagus Rai Mantra, the aim of this marathon is to bring awareness to persons with disabilities to be seen  not as persons to pity, but as athletes to respect.The  organisers  are planning a push rim wheelchair division, a visually impaired/blind division and a mobility impaired program together with a  number of distances for able bodied runners. AFL NEWS Bali Geckos bring home Asia’s AFL Championship Cup.   The Bali Geckos AFL football club have achieved a long sought after goal by defeating the Myanmar Fighting Cocks in the Grand Final of the Asian Championships, Division 2, held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on October 15. The difference between Division 1 and division 2 was purely in the number ofplayers fielded- Div 1 teams fielded 16 players whereas in Div 2 reams fielded 12 players. 12 teams competed in Division 2 this year, which was arguably a tougher competition than Division 1 which only hosted 6 teams. RUGBY NEWS Bali Rugby Fest Now in its 22nd year, the Bali Rugby Fest (Bali 10s) looks to be another big fun event as it continues to deliver great interest year after year with many Indonesian and overseas teams making the trip to Bali to play in Jimbaran over the October 8 & 9 weekend. TRIATHLON RACING 2016 9th Bali Triathlon The 2016 Bali Triathlon has moved from its traditional location in Jimbaran, to a new location in Sanur.Based at the Mertasari Beach which has hosted many sports events including the 2008 Asian Beach Games,Bali Beach Games and last years Bali Toughest, the Bali Triathlon combines swimming, running and cycling, will be held on August 14. ENDURANCE RACING Tough Mudder comes to Bali

Tough Mudder an endurance event series in which participants attempt 16 km military-style obstacle course is coming to Bali on October 1-2. SWIMMING NEWS 7th Bali Ocean Swim July 3, 2016

 Now in it’s 7th year, Bali Sports Foundation’s Bali Ocean Swim is back  again on Sunday, July 3.  The event starts on Kuta Beach at Bali Garden Hotel with 1.2km and the 5 & 10k swims follow the coast, depending on conditions, towards Seminyak and back. All swimmers are monitored by trained professional lifeguards from the Balawista Surf Lifesaving Club who know and understand the conditions best.  Entry is open to those aged 12 and above (juniors 12 a 17 must have parental approval) and ALL monies raised go to providing swimming and water safety programs for children with disabilities.
