Batik Workshop (20 – 24 March) Batik is indeed a major part of Indonesian culture and can be found all across the archipelago.  Batik is in fact a technique of wax resist dyeing applied to whole cloth, or cloth made using this technique.  Batik is made both by drawing dots and lines of the resist using a special tool or by printing the resist with a copper stamp.
