Batik Workshop (20 – 24 March) Batik is indeed a major part of Indonesian culture and can be found all across the archipelago.  Batik is in fact a technique of wax resist dyeing applied to whole cloth, or cloth made using this technique.  Batik is made both by drawing dots and lines of the resist using a special tool or by printing the resist with a copper stamp. Art Over Wheels Workshop (7 – 16 February) It seems that in this edition of Schedule the theme is the environment. Art over wheels stands for Bamboo Bike Building, a workshop which will be led by Brazilian born Klaus Volkmann. The Green School will host thebike building workshop which comes as no surprise as The Green School is synonymous with all things pertaining to the environment.  EWABI is the company that is responsible for building electric bicycles from bamboo.
